This was the original house that I bought in Nickoleavka, Bulgaria, back in August 2004. It had 2 garages (in the foreground), a long barn that had been used for storage, the main house, an old derelict house behind the main house, a few outbuildings and a 24 seater restaurant.

There was something that took me when I saw this house. On the one hand it needed a lot of work doing, and on the other I would love every minute of it!

I paid 18,000 Euros for the house and would still be living there now if it was not for a bad car crash that I was involved in, in August 2005.

This site was made mainly as a pictorial "scrapbook" for me and my family - but everyone's welcome. Inside these pages you will find costings, loads of photos and a maybe a tip or two! I learnt as I went along - I made many mistakes along the way
